What does a physical map show us? What do the symbols in a map key mean? Let's Read Maps! introduces readers to the many kinds of maps, the information each tells us, and how to read and use them. In aligning with Grade 2 Social Studies standards, each book features a specific kind of map, outlining its many features and variations. All titles include local and world maps, explanations of symbols, a compass rose, map keys, scales, and all features on the maps, including latitude and longitude, how we read them, and what they help us do or learn. Each title includes a Map Quiz, infographic, sidebars, table of contents, glossary, and index.
