The Sky's the Limit - Reviewed by Booklist

Titles in the Sky’s the Limit series provide tips and information on how young readers can manage their lives, accomplish their goals, and create and maintain positive habits. Making Good Decisions discusses easy versus difficult decisions and presents five steps to help readers with the decision-making process. Readers learn that decisions all have consequences and that they can learn from them for next time. Managing Time encourages readers to consider how they spend their time and to use a schedule so that they can accomplish more of their goals. Readers will begin to consider which tasks should have a higher priority than others so that they can make the best use of their time. Practicing Self-Care recommends that readers do things they enjoy, keep their body healthy, and pay attention to what they feel and discuss it with a trusted adult. Tips for reducing stress and relaxing are given. Setting Limits details five types of boundaries, such as emotional and physical, and encourages readers to consider what limits they are comfortable with, and how they can go about setting them. Large, color photographs correspond well with the accompanying text, which includes bolded vocabulary terms and boxed suggestions for readers. Goals and tips are included, along with a glossary and index. An informative series focusing on SEL. —Selenia Paz
